Relentless according to Dictionary.com means ' Relentless that that does not relent, unyielding, severe, strict or harsh'.

It always seizes to amaze me of the cliques used today. Such as never say never, politic makes strange bedfellows. Here boxing makes strange bedfellows as well. Never say never!
For the $$$$$ enemies that never had a good word for each other now have found common ground. I'm writing about Bob Arum and Don King as well as Ricardo Mayorga and Miguel Cotto.
All four individuals were on the dais in N.Y.C. Attending a press conference announcing the match up of Cotto vs Mayorga dated for March 12, 2011 @ MGM Grand Garden Arena promoted by Top Rank and Don King Productions as partners.
Its well know that Bob Arum and Don King have nothing pleasant to say about each other, they both were relentless with name calling in the past, till now, that the ducat are right.
Bob Arum said: “ Top Rank is delighted to give Miguel Cotto an opportunity to do a demolition job on Ricardo Mayorga. In a event it will be a real treat to be reunited with my age less friend Don King”. Really!! From a guy that once said that he would never co-promote with Don King ever? Never say never.
Then Don King gets up there and says: “First and foremost, its great to be co-promoting an event with a real promoter like Bob Arum”. Wow!! From a guy that once called called Bob Arum a liar and would never promote with him again. Never say never!
Now for the combatants to speak. Which they also were relentless with their description of each other in the past.
First the challenger Ricardo Mayorga, he started this presser with no tete-a-tete with anyone. He did his usual performance of rancor.
He told everyone through an interpreter of how he's going to kick Miguel's ass, and his pants length and height are to short. “ he has pants longer than Cotto”. Of how he was going to spare Cottos family the pain, humiliation and tears, by beating his ass good and early.” Mayorga was relentless of humiliating Cotto in front of fans and family. “the old Mayorga is back and I've got a new attitude and outlook that makes me even stronger. I'm going to use Cotto as my red carpet to open doors to even bigger fights”. He hinted about what he did to the other Puerto Rican hopeful Tito Trinidad, which is not good for Cotto. This for real?
Then it was Miguel. The relentless malevolence continued. He said he knew Mayorga like a book. He said “no one wins fights with the mouth”. “I'll make this your farewell fight”. “ with these short pants; I beat Shane Mosley, remember who he is”? “ when I fight him (Mayorga) he will know who I am.” “remember Vernon Forrest, after him nobody saw or heard of Mayorga”. At which time Mayorga jumped up from his seat, in an intimidating manner for a vis-a-vis with Miguel, who told him not to interrupt or see the door.
The crowd could sense that Cotto was the one using Mayorga, on his relentless road to redemption and revenge his filthy lose to Margarito and his disappointing lose to Pacman
Relentless diatribe!!
The theme of this writing by this scribe maybe RELENTLESS but it can also have the theme of
NEVER SAY NEVER!
